Serhat Batmaz has a total of 25 years of experience, of which 14 years in the public sector and 11 years in the private sector, in the field of designing water structures, especially dams, and in the field of construction consultancy, geotechnical, hydraulic, computer-aided engineering. He moved to the private sector and became the founding partner and member of the board of directors of HİDROMARK in 2008 after working for many years as the Dam Foundation Engineering Branch Manager in the General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works (DSI), carried out this duty for 11 years.

Serhat BATMAZ, who completed his master’s degree in Geotechnics, is known for introducing new dam technologies, especially Roller Compacted Concrete Dams, to our country, preparing special technical specifications for projects tendered by the State Hydraulic Works, and taking part as an active instructor in training activities for new engineers at DSI. He is an active member of the World Energy Council Turkish National Committee, ITU University Students’ Union, Chamber of Civil Engineers and Geosynthetics Association, has many publications and presentations published in peer-reviewed journals on SSB and other dam types and geotechnical. He has the Water Structures Inspection Services certificate in DSI Water Structures Inspection services.

Serhat Batmaz, who has undergraduate and graduate degrees from ITU Civil Engineering Department and Anadolu University Business Administration, is about to complete his International Relations undergraduate education at the same university.
